I noticed a strange noise the other night while driving down the highway, it sounded like a smooth rumbling. I thought it was just road noise at first. Tonight I noticed it again and figured out where it was coming from. When I opened the shade of the moonroof the sound was noticably louder. As soon as I slightly cracked the roof, the noise stopped, and when I fully closed it again the sound started back up. My best guess based on my fiddling is that the motor that moves the roof panel is engaged trying to close the roof more while it's already fully closed, but I'm nowhere near confident in this explanation. The sound only starts up when I'm going around 65mph or faster. I don't see any defects with the panel or the gaskets so I can't think of anything else. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

My wife was disappointed that we could not get a moonroof unless we ordered one and waited.

Maybe the anti moonroof gods were with us.

Hope you get this resolved. When you take it in, make sure you take the service advisor/manager for a ride so he/she can experience it.

Hey there. I can look into your Bronco’s noise concern on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Well I hope you get it figured out. As I don’t have that with my moonroof.

Make sure those felt panels on underside of floor under vehicle are not loose.

i just picked mine up from the dealership yesterday.Had to take it twice and was without my vehicle 5 days total to get them to replace the moonroof seal that had detached. Extra 2 days on 2nd service was due to them breaking my windshield accidentally.

Took 3 months for the repair since the first drop off they did not address the identified issue we presented but acknowledged the problem was the seal. Part was on back order and once it arrived they couldn't schedule service for 3 weeks.
