Monthly Maintenance - Fuel and Water separator.... Drain if necessary??

2022 Bronco Sport Owner's Manual page 411 (see attached) states to "Check Every Month..Fuel and water separator. Drain if necessary, or if indicated by the information display." I can't find anything in the manual that indicates if a "fuel and water separator" actually exists, why or where. I just got a Bronco Sport Badlands...not a boat. Sorry for my ignorance - Can anyone help?
