specific to that spot, I cant comment.
I DO KNOW however that all my Jeep friends are quick to bash the BS, and I prove them wrong every time!!
It truly boils down to how well the driver understands the vehicle - not just a focus on its limitations. I've run into this in both the Jeep (owned Wranglers for > 25 years) and Bronco (have a 2024 Bronco) crowds.

I haven't tried yet, but have been tempted. Being retired, I prefer to do stuff mid week to avoid the crowds so I haven't gotten up that way yet. I've done a couple of the easier trails in the Idyllwild area to get my Bronco's feet wet.

OnX only rates most of the trails 2's and 3's in the area. The red star is the shooting range, so it's looking like there's trails that should be doable. The Blue trail? Maybe it's the one they say you'll only get so far?

I'm fairly comfortable off-roading. I had mostly gone in my wrangler and expedition and just started to go with my BSBL. The concern my friend had was with the approach and breakover on some of the washouts. I know my daughter bottomed out from the approach at Cleghorn

Reading the description for Cleghorn on OnX it's rated as a 4/10 and it does say " Some of the obstacles can be extremely challenging, so use caution and drive within your ability. " And " Most of the trail is easy with exception of some deep rutted areas. Some obstacles can be challenging " so a love bump/scrape or two sounds like it's inevitable.

The route in Red is what I'm thinking when I hit up that area. According to OnX Stock height 2WD SUV and truck-type vehicles are capable of completing this trail. Of course nasty rainstorms or snow would throw monkey wrenches into the equation. The Yellow detour I guess, depends on how I feel at the time.
