Just wondering if anyone else has had a steering problem with their BS. I have a 2021 OB with 16,000 miles and my vehicle has developed a loose feeling in the steering on the highway above 50 mph. Lately the slack in the steering is becoming more noticeable/slightly larger. I have never been off road with it and have not hit any potholes or curbs. This slack started about happening at about 10,000 miles.

Good afternoon. Can you please send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage? I would like to take a closer look at your steering concerns.

You need to send a PM (private message) to the Ford rep, not post your VIN here. You should edit that post and delete that information to maintain your privacy/security.

Stop driving and contact your dealership. Could be dangerous.

I've got the same issue that has recently surfaced on my 2021 Outer Banks (just under 36k on the ODO). I'll be driving around town & the Bronco Sport will all of a sudden want to dart to the right. Was planning a short trip for a few days next week & I'll be driving something else.

VIN is safe. I can get one from every single car I see. No PI data in there.

I had the opportunity to get my 2021 Bronco Sport in to a local Ford Service Center near me to inspect the steering & front suspension system for any equipment issues that could cause the 'loose play' I was experiencing. Turns out the Bronco Sport is AOK, with everything working as designed. But the Service Tech noticed during a test drive that the Lane Keeping System was activated. And a slight departure from centerline would exert a 'pull' back to the center of the lane (assuming lane lines were detected on both sides of the vehicle). I didn't know this feature had been turned on as the button for it is on the end of the turn signal stalk. I originally had it turned off. What a 'dumb ass'! Cost me $175 diagnostic charge to become more aware of all the 'gizmos' the Outer Banks model has.

I have a 2025 Maverick now but used to have a BS BB and turned it off on the Turn Signal stalk. After I talked to another Maverick owner who told me about it and I hated it and I'm glad I turned it off.
