One of the first things you might consider is getting some undercarriage protection if you are going to be taking it off-road at all. There's several companies that have the engine and some front protection on offer. There's now also a couple of options for protection of the gas evap can (a pretty expensive repair if you hit it. The Big Bend only has a felt cover there). The evap can is under the felt behind the front left tire. I have a Badlands, and have definitely used my skid plate there a couple times already. We both work with cows in our professions, hence the name Beefy. Plan on adding some graphics to further express our love and passion for the animals, but first, really want to find some interior mods I've seen posted here.
Please let me know your favorite mods that you've tried or ones you have always wanted to have on your BS.
The lifts and tires folks have mentioned are great, but they will effect your gas mileage by about 2 mpg (I went from averaging around 25 to 23 in my Badlands). However, they really are required to do some of the more technical roads, the Badlands has just barely enough clearance to be considered a high clearance vehicle by the Forest Service definition, and the Big Bend is lower. That being said, I was easily able to make it through Medano Pass last year when the Park Service was still labeling it "impassable" with a 1.25" lift, and 245/65/R17 A/T tires.
For interior mods, I've had a lot of luck on Etsy with some really great products. Just search bronco sport, and a TON of different stuff will pop up for you.
I hope you enjoy your new Bronco as much as I have!
