Has anyone bought this skid plate? Do the openings actually line up well and allow the oil to drain without catching on it? Sometimes things look great in concept and I just was wondering if it functions well in actual use. I have a Badlands with the 2.0. Does it allow adequate room to get in there to remove the filter. I ask because I bought the HRG bumper skid plate a while back and it does not work with the JCR set up.

Very good bit of kit and well made. On mine though, the plastic oil pan drain plug does not line up with the cutout as is different then the metal one.

Everything else was great with very minimal fitting issues

Good find and that should be added by @JcrOffroad on their website for this product… Bronco Sport models with the plastic oil pan drain plug does not line up with the skid plat cutout or offer a new future product version that works with the plastic oil pan drain plug.

jhnvan has found the perfect solution. The only problem is that I'm 79 and won't be doing nearly enough oil changes (1 or 2 a year) to justify the $279.10 cost of the pan. I don't plan on any off-roading, so maybe I'll just cut the access holes in the stock pan.

I cutout a bigger hole to accommodate the different oil drain plug location.

What year bronco sport is this? I just installed on my 2023 and, like a noob, didnt think to make sure things lined up.

what did you use to cut out a bigger hole?

Ford told me I had a metal oil pan when I got my oil change, I ordered the part, and during install discovered they probably didn’t even look and that I have a plastic one..

How long did it take you to do? I just finished installing it and might have to cut that out next weekend

I just read a YouTube comment on jcrs install video stating that the ptu needs the ventilation that the oem skid gives cause they are notorious for over heating? Anyone here have any issues with jcr’s skid and ptu over heating?
