Today, Oct 11th, makes one year since I took delivery of my 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend.

Wow! Age makes time fly. It doesn’t feel that long. Oddly enough about two weeks ago I got an email from JD Power asking me to do a survey on my vehicle. Of course, I’ve heard of JD Power, but I never thought I might actually participate in one of their surveys. Succinctly my feedback was overwhelmingly positive in that during the past year I have had zero issues or complaints and I have been more than satisfied with my Bronco Sport.

The survey asks about servicing and other than an oil change the only servicing I’ve had done had nothing to do with any issue or repair. Late November last year I mounted winter tires on my factory 18in. wheels. Come spring in April I had aftermarket wheels with new all-season Michelins installed when putting the winter wheels/tires in storage. Thats it. I also did a few things myself that you can hardly call servicing, such as installing a K&N air filter, installing rubber liners to the backs of the rear seats, installing a Steeda strut tower brace and Redline hood struts so I don’t have to use the single factory hood prop.

In a month or so I’ll be swapping the winter wheels/tires back on and putting the others in storage. Next spring I’m thinking of adding a dual exhaust (yes, I know it’s mostly for looks and sound) when I put my summer wheels/tires back on.

The past year I’ve really enjoyed my Bronco Sport. I always look forward to driving it. I really like the handling, the agility and the responsiveness. It’s great on the highway. I have also really appreciated the flexibility and convenience of the rear cargo area particularly when going to the hardware store for materials and supplies for my home projects.

Car wise it’s been a good year.

I wish Ford had not retired that Hot Pepper Red. Looks great on both the Bronco Sport and the Bronco.
It’s something of a chameleon colour. Often it looks very red, but in some lights you see a hint of orange hue and in other light it can seem almost like rust.

And people can see colours differently. To my eyes it’s primarily red, but to a neighbour’s he saw it as rust.

In less than two weeks, I will have had my '24 BB for 1 year. It had ~20 miles on it when I picked it up, and it has ~8100 now. Issues: rear shocks were leaking and replaced under warranty; round power port in the front had a loose connection and did not work - but now it must be loose again, because sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. Overall, I am happy with the vehicle.

I ve had my BSBB for about 4 months and 3500 km now and you took the words out of my mouth ; handling, agility and responsiveness , especially on the highway! I use sport mode in the city for smooth acceleration.

No mechanical issues !

Cheers

I've had my Bronco Sport for a year and 4 months and 4335 miles on it. I have had to do nothing to it. I did have the oil changed in June and a windshield put in and around 700 miles. I do mis my RAM 4x4.

Horrors! Today I discovered my first stone chip! It’s a wee thing and easy to miss, but I’m going to get some touchup paint ASAP to cover it.
Got the touchup paint. Also made an appointment for Nov. 17th to swap my winter tires on.

Tanked up for the second time with premium rather than regular. And I’m noticing improved gas mileage. But what really surprised me is that for a good part of the past year I was getting about 12 to 12.2L/100 km. (about 22.5 Imp mpg) around town. Then some weeks back I put my first fillup of premium and my mileage went down to 11.8L/100 km., then 11.5, then 11.2 and after this fillup I checked my mileage and I’m now getting 8.5L/100 km. (about 33.6 Imp. mpg). For those who might not know in Canada we use Imperial gallons rather than U.S. gallons—an Imperial gallon is larger.

Strange.

Right there with you. In November it'll be a year with my '24 BSBB and it's been a blast. Zero issues and plenty of power for what I need.
