Today, Oct 11th, makes one year since I took delivery of my 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend.
Wow! Age makes time fly. It doesn’t feel that long. Oddly enough about two weeks ago I got an email from JD Power asking me to do a survey on my vehicle. Of course, I’ve heard of JD Power, but I never thought I might actually participate in one of their surveys. Succinctly my feedback was overwhelmingly positive in that during the past year I have had zero issues or complaints and I have been more than satisfied with my Bronco Sport.
The survey asks about servicing and other than an oil change the only servicing I’ve had done had nothing to do with any issue or repair. Late November last year I mounted winter tires on my factory 18in. wheels. Come spring in April I had aftermarket wheels with new all-season Michelins installed when putting the winter wheels/tires in storage. Thats it. I also did a few things myself that you can hardly call servicing, such as installing a K&N air filter, installing rubber liners to the backs of the rear seats, installing a Steeda strut tower brace and Redline hood struts so I don’t have to use the single factory hood prop.
In a month or so I’ll be swapping the winter wheels/tires back on and putting the others in storage. Next spring I’m thinking of adding a dual exhaust (yes, I know it’s mostly for looks and sound) when I put my summer wheels/tires back on.
The past year I’ve really enjoyed my Bronco Sport. I always look forward to driving it. I really like the handling, the agility and the responsiveness. It’s great on the highway. I have also really appreciated the flexibility and convenience of the rear cargo area particularly when going to the hardware store for materials and supplies for my home projects.
Car wise it’s been a good year.
