I just picked up a 22MY Badlands today and it did not have the engine cover, either.Low and behold, it is.....not there on my BL.
I don't really care, but thought I'd provide an update.

I hope all you folks with missing items are getting receipts from your dealers.I just picked up a 22MY Badlands today and it did not have the engine cover, either.
It's not missing if it's not supposed to be there in the first place. But I'd welcome any documentation that says a 2022 is supposed to have one so I can talk to my dealer. I haven't seen anything to date.I hope all you folks with missing items are getting receipts from your dealers.
Take a look at "Ford Build Your Bronco Sport"(https://shop.ford.com/configure/broncosport/config/interior/Config[|Ford|Bronco Sport|2022|1|1.|.R9D.....BLD.]?gnav=header-suvs-bp). That pic could be from 2021 when they did come with covers or just some older stock photo. Those build and price tools are not 100% accurate.Take a look at "Ford Build Your Bronco Sport"(https://shop.ford.com/configure/broncosport/config/interior/Config[|Ford|Bronco Sport|2022|1|1.|.R9D.....BLD.]?gnav=header-suvs-bp). So far everyone is reporting no cover on '22 2.0sIs there anyone out there that actually has a legit serial # of a 22MY Badlands with an engine cover?
Well there you have it! Except this tiny little detail...Take a look at "Ford Build Your Bronco Sport"(https://shop.ford.com/configure/broncosport/config/interior/Config[|Ford|Bronco Sport|2022|1|1.|.R9D.....BLD.]?gnav=header-suvs-bp). Is this still accurate? My Badlands 2.0 does not have an engine cover. It does have the hood liner though.2.0 still comes with engine cover it the 1.5 they stopped putting them on.
Take it for a good test drive before you sign make sure its a good runner. Look at roof too by opening door and stepping up so you can see up there.
No cover, no care. Hood liner also, so...Is this still accurate? My Badlands 2.0 does not have an engine cover. It does have the hood liner though.
Because we should have one for the money.. Along with our passenger side under dash panel.. you dont want that either ? That engine cover and panel both dampen sounds. That 1.5 engine is a noisey lil bugger. The cover helps a bunch. I have 1no cover and I dont give a crap.
Why the obsession over the cover?

I had a big chunk out of my tire that we didn’t notice until the next day when I happened to see it in the garage. The dealership did not detail well and scratched the black panels all up. Also my back window had scratches on it which they tried to buff but didn’t work. I still haven’t heard it they are going to do anything more. Not thrilled with my dealer though so not sure they will do much. Frankly, I don’t think I want them to touch it right now. They did give me a free oil change as the parts department forgot to give me 10% off my accessories and then couldn’t figure out how to give me points back. I love the vehicle other than that! You will too. Enjoy it!If I didn't know better I would think that lots of people missed the 30+ page thread about the engine cover. I was just making a joke. Should have known I am never funny.
I probably would take the sport even if I hated it just to resell it in 6 months for a profit. My poor thread got a bit off topic now so I hope any future replies can bring it back on track.
I consider the question answered unless anyone has personal experience to share on what they had to go back to the dealer over that they should have noticed at signing.
