Hey y'all. I've been wanting to fit the theme of the silver, black, and orange into my sport for a while, and I came up with the idea of coloring the door panel trim orange. First thing I did was look for an overlay alternative. The only result I saw was for Tuffskinz, which I'm sure is a high-quality product, but a tad more than I'd like to spend. I am wondering if there is a way to detach the trim piece in order to paint or wrap it. Below is an example of what I was talking about.

This lady has a couple of videos on how she took apart and painted the trim pieces in he BS, looks like a lot of work, but if you got the time and patience you can make your BS look unique.

Yeah I missed that rushing through, trying to get caught up on my reading.

The trim piece is a orderable part (area 51 or orange)

Example part numbers:
m1pz78239a00ba
m1pz78239a01bc

It looks like you pull the door panel off, then take off a bunch of screws holding the door handle surround piece and trim to the door panel. Finally, remove the bunch of screws keeping the outer trim to the door handle surround.

I didn’t even think of it being an orderable part. Very cool, thank you!
