Interior door panel easily scratches

The plastic in my FJC scratches if you look at it! Just need to accept it as a battle scar.

Unfortunately, Ford along with other automakers use the cheapest plastics available. I have had several BMW's and Porsches and never had any issues with the plastics unless its a really hard and sharp hit. The Fords plastic used in all of their cars will scratch with just a finger nail. I used the heat gun on my wifes former car, her 2020 Ford Escape Titanium and I was able to get a lot of the lighter stuff out with the heat gun, the deep gouges it only minimized them.

What materials would a car manufacturer use that a dogs nails wouldn't scratch? ?
