Has anyone tried an overlay on Plastidip? I thinking of two color contrast. Maybe grey with flag overlays or orange with flag overlays. I’ve decided to wait until my 2023 is built and delivered. If anyone has tried this, let us see pictures.

Has anyone removed the letters on the rear liftgate completely and left the area blank? I normally remove all the badging from my vehicles and am considering a Sport and would like to debadge the whole vehicle.
thanks!

Not the best, but here’s an old pic of just the sport removed.

You don’t have to pay anyone to do it. I would put tape along the top/bottom of the letters, mark on the tape where each letter is so you know where to put the new letter. Use some dental floss to and pull it back and forth behind the letters until they come off. You will need some adhesive remover to remove the residue from the factory letters. Then using the tape and marks place the new letters on.

This is pretty much what a body shop would do as well and charge you at least a few hours of shop time to do.
When I removed the "Sport" letters from the hatch of my rig, I used 90% isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining tape/glue. It ate if off without damaging the paint. The letters themselves came off quite easily. I just started at a corner and pealed.

Just be careful about prying. The skin on these vehicles is quite thin (to save weight). If you pry with anything harder than the skin you will almost certainly make a dent.

Thanks for all the replies. I know exactly what to do and what not to do. As for the front logo my plan is to fabricate an ABS block off panel for the grille that will cover the recessed area behind the lettering.

Diy. And you dont need dental floss. Just hair dryer and they come right off.. clean residue with microfiber and some water
Mine just pealed off with my fingers, no heat, fishing line or dental floss required. Any remnants or residue easily comes off with 90% isopropyl alcohol and a thumb nail
