I like the touch chrome or bright work and having more colour than just on the tank.
Even on the Royal Enfields, I prefer the bright work versions over the blacked out versions of the INT 650.

I gave up my Harley in 2010 ( I was 66 and the Harley was very heavy). Since then, I've had 4 different Kymco scooters. As much as I love my '23 Outer Banks, I still enjoy riding my 150cc Kymco People S scooter.

The least power of the lot and yet I rather like it quite a bit. If I had my druthers, though, I’d like the side panels along with the front and rear fenders to be the same colour as the tank.

I had sort of planned on getting rid of my 1700 once the 2 door came in as my wife doesn’t care to ride anymore. But, as much fun as the 2 door is with the top off, it really doesn’t do the same things for me. So I’m kind of debating what to do, but not having a two wheeled motorized vehicle doesn’t seem to fit right now. Ray is not making this any easier with these videos. It’s just hard to justify when I’ve got something that fills that need. It’s just way more than what is needed for my use case. Happy to hear you are still enjoying riding.

Some spray paint, rubbing/polishing compound, and wax ?

@Warped9, Ray, I’m not sure if I should thank you or curse you. Since you brought this up, I’ve researched bikes more than I have for 20 years. Originally I had thought about replacing my existing pig with an Enduro or something similar. Your post got me thinking about my real usage and enjoyment. I’ve probably got enough off road vehicles and maybe will hold off that purchase once the off road e-bikes mature. At least one of those can fit on my bike rack behind either of the Bronco’s. Now the question begs as to replace the bagger 1700 with something slightly smaller. The INT650 seems to pull at the heart strings for the mid size bikes I owned in the 70’s and 80’s. I’m somewhat biased towards Honda’s and Yamaha’s. The only Yamaha that comes close to piquing my interest in this class is the XSR700, but can’t get past the look of the motor. I really like the look of the old vertical twins. I tend to prefer the look of an air cooled engine as well. Mean while I’m riding my XM1700 more it seems and really enjoying the low end pull. Maybe I’ll just remove the bags for now to make it atleast look smaller.

Pile it on. I’m accustomed to abuse.

It’s funny they call standard bikes naked now and old style standard designs are classic or retro classic.

Yes, I prefer standard “classic” designs with analog instruments. I don’t for the digital displays. Modern naked bikes tend to look angular and the engines look like lumps of model kit debris. The XSR700 doesn’t do it for me. The XSR900 is much nicer. But I like the Kawasaki Z650RS—rather retro looking.

The Triumph Speed Twin 900 is also very nice.
