'22 Badlands ordered 12/17/2021 - Arrived 3/25/22
After my test drive there were 54 miles on it. The listing said 5 miles.

Their mark up was $7k...I said no way, they brought it down to $5k, I still said no way. Max I was willing to pay is $3k over (and that made me cringe) and they just gave me an extra $2k for my trade in to make up for it. I told them that I completely understood why they are doing it but I have one on order that is not marked up. Not sure why they tried so hard with me...the next person probably would have paid more. I read an article that Ford is not happy with all the markups and they're keeping track of who's doing it and their allocation will be affected downstream.
Sounds good!

Hard to say why they sold to you when they could have gotten more. Maybe 'a bird in the hand'?

Also, $3,000 over MSRP isn't bad (from their POV of course). All I know is what I've read, and what I was told before I placed the order. Most dealers were getting about $4,000 over for any BS on their lot -- the BL may have been more, IDK.

Another factor is your trade. Used car prices are crazy high, so they may have done pretty well on that.

I wouldn't worry too much about the $3,000 extra. Yes, it is a lot of money, but you got what you wanted, when you wanted it. You'll be enjoying your BL for months before the one you ordered gets to the dealer.

Everyone's situation is different. Like most people, it kills me to pay MSRP, let alone over. Still, if our situation was different, I might have paid the ADM, but our '97 RAV4 is still running well, and I have a 2002 WRX (bought from the same Ford/Subaru dealer) in the garage that just needs a power steering pump. So it's not as if we don't have wheels and we're renting a car. I can wait if it means saving $4,000+. But that's just me, I totally understand paying the ADM to get the BL now.

Ford keeps bumping our production week back (it's currently Feb 28) -- who knows what might happen? BS production could shut down completely. Then you'll have a VERY valuable Badlands!

I heard the same thing about Ford threatening to 'punish' dealers that are charging ADM. Part of me thinks, 'Yeah, git 'em!' but OTOH, unless their contract with Ford precludes selling for over MSRP, I don't see why Ford would be upset -- unless they're kicking themselves for not setting the MSRP and invoice higher and pocketing some of the extra money.

The other thing that occurred to me is that if Ford (or any other mfr) does not want their vehicles sold for more than MSRP, they could have it spelled out in the contract/franchise agreement. Since that's not the case, I have to wonder how much of Ford's threat to withhold vehicles from dealers is just for 'appearances'. They could be serious, but it makes me wonder.

We ordered our Cyber Orange '22 BL on 10/06/21, built on 1/10/22, delivered on 2/04/22. It had PP, 360+ and cargo management system. No tow or moonroof which I think are two factors holding up orders from being scheduled.
We ordered our Bronze Smoke BL on 10/6 as well. Got the "in production email on December 12... But no word on anything until getting the shipped email on 1/6/22 with an ETA to the dealership of 1/28. Then a revised ETA showed up on the tracker about 1/24, saying 2/4/22. It was delivered on February 1. We unfortunately can't pick it up until next week due to our own travel schedule...

We have tow package and moonroof on ours with PP and 360+. Initial scheduling was a problem with the moonroof, otherwise we would have submitted a bit earlier. Looks like our order squeaked in at the right time, I see a number of people with similar order dates still waiting for production or shipping info.

Scheduling notes have been updated over at Blue Oval. Bronco Sport will not be selected for scheduling this Thursday. And as an added bonus "Please be advised that Badlands Series orders with optional Premium Package (96Q) may take longer to schedule".

That’s great info. Thanks! My 11/12 BS BL+PP is still unscheduled and what you just said confirms my suspicions based on a lot of anecdotal evidence on the forums here.

Well you're welcome to whomever ordered after me - I just cancelled mine. Can't wait until maybe May or June to get mine so I'm out.

Not a BS yet...
Mine took just over 90 days from order to delivery, but what happened in the past is completely irrelevant to how long future orders will take.
little off topic - but how do you like the velocity blue? I just ordered mine 1 week ago in the same color - badlands model. I wasn't sure about the color at first, but when I went to the dealership for a test drive (different badlands that was being sold at the time), a full size bronco in the velocity blue was pulling out of the dealership and my jaw just dropped. Had to have it.

No regrets at all, love it! Only color that might be better would be Eruption Green, but it's not offered on the BS (at least not yet).

Someone who works a block away has a 2-door fullsize in Velocity Blue. Exactly what I would've ordered had we gone with a full-size.

So irritated they didn't bring that green to the BS, it's so pretty.

Hi all just ordered a BS Badlands with all options for $300 over msrp but dealer is saying up to 6 months because it’s a Badlands….could it be?
You mean base badlands MSRP + Each options at retails + $300 "Dealer Profit" (ignoring hold backs and all that jazz)?

Thanks - found a 22 (WK) GC Laredo X with some nice options, it was more than I wanted to spend for the kids, but should work out well since it'll probably become my station car in 3-4 years once they're done with school and picking and paying for their own vehicles. Now just hoping for good news tomorrow on converting my Bronco to a B-Raptor tomorrow.

Ordered 9/24 still waiting - built 12/30 and in shipped status but the last my dealer had on the visibility report it was stuck in Chicago. So I'm 4+ months and still don't have it. But I think I'm only a few weeks away at this point since I moved out of the chip hold they had in December.
What is the "expected" wait time until you receive production notification from Ford? Called Ford customer service and they could not answer.

I ordered a BS BL Prem on 10/20/21 confirmed 10/21. Nothing since, no Vin, no production date. A few who ordered similar specs a few days after received production dates back in December. I'm guessing premium is the hold up. This one is for my daughter, was hoping to have atleast a window sticker for Christmas. I'll be lucky to have it in April for her Bday.

Scheduling notes from Ford last Tuesday specifically called out BS BL with Premium may take longer to schedule. Which is what my wife ordered in early December...... Gonna be a wait I guess.
