From the small amount of data that we have right now... there's currently no 100% correlation of whether its based off Reservation date, Confirmed Order date, or the combination of the two.

It seemed to correlate to Order confirmed date at first.. but @weekndr's early confirmed date was an outlier should have had an earlier build date, and Bdub's would have been slated for a 12/14 or 1/4 build date.

Building on the guessing game.. my confirmed order date was 9/16 so I will probably get a build date of the first or second week of February 2021.

@Cyclone Cowboy ... I'm going to take a wild guess that if the dealer did everything correct and Ford pulled your order in at the best possible time, your build date would be the second or third week of January 2021.

The only thing I can think of is it’s based on trim levels. I don’t think any big bends have received build dates and I believe outer banks very few or none as well.

From another group of mine I saw a few big bends scheduled for the last week of November but the only thing I saw that made theirs different was I did not order the tow package and they did. My guess is it's a combo of factors including trim level, options, when ordered and where they are shipping to.

Where they are shipping to is probably a bigger factor than a lot of us have realized thus far. Weren’t certain dealers with more orders given higher priority? Or is that only for the retail stock after customer orders are complete?

I called Ford Marketing today to check on my order and she said they are scheduling builds in order they are received (orders conformed), that they are bot being chosen based on model or any of that. That is the info she gave me and that is the 2nd time I have asked someone there and they have both said the same thing.

So I got the email from Ford way back when saying my order has been confirmed on 7/25. But then my dealer emailed me in October saying any changes needed to be made by 10/9 (I did make some changes). Which date do I consider my "Order Confirmed" date that will supposedly be determining my build date?

I have no idea. My dealer actually ordered mine twice so I have 7/21 and 8/21 order dates, neither of mine are scheduled yet. Both say in process. They didn't start the line until 10/26 so I would assume you go by your original conformed date. I have not made any changes to my order(s)

If you sign into Ford.com and click my account and reservations/orders it should tell you the model you ordered and your order date.

When I sign into mine it only shows the 8/21 even though I have the first one for 7/21. I do have 2 orders thanks to my dealer but it only shows the second one on the site. Ford Marketing can tell you what your actual order date is.

Interesting it only shows one. Mine shows my cancelled FE from July and my on-order BL from August.

Yeah I only figured out I had 2 because I got 2 emails from Ford 1 month apart from each other confirming them. So I called my dealer and that is when he realized he had done the order twice somehow. But Ford can see them both. Just wish they would hurry and schedule one of them.

FWIW. I’m in SC also. Ordered a Badlands on July 20th, and still don’t have a build date.
