I finally got my Badlands:

I bought my BB in September of ‘21 and I really liked it but from the beginning…I wanted a Badlands. After three months of ownership, my dealer got a Shadow Black BL in stock. We worked out numbers for a trade and I was pleased with everything except it was not the color I wanted. So, at the last minute I backed out. I had no intentions on ordering one and I was content with my BB. My wife even bought one as well.
My salesperson called me back in February and informed me that the dealership was going to be getting two Badlands in stock. They were getting a Cactus and Oxford white. I immediately placed a deposit on the white one and then I waited. My salesman and I had conversed a few times for updates. I finally got the call two weeks ago that it had arrived. So on April 23rd I went to pick it up. The trade value on my BB yielded me almost 3k and as a Ford employee, I saved 2875 on the Badlands.
It was exactly the vehicle I would have ordered if I had gone that route. I did not want leather or sunroof. My Badlands was dealer ordered with convenience group 400A which included the Falken Wildpeaks 235/65/17 A/T tires. I’m so in love with this vehicle it’s crazy. I tinted the windows at 20 percent and the windshield at 35 percent. After the tint, I took the vehicle home and started my prep to apply the ceramic coating. This thing turned out incredible and I love it even more. I am one happy individual. We named her “Little Sinister”

How do you like the carbonized gray roof?

Does it match the wheels?

We ordered a Badlands in Area 51 with the carbonized gray roof. Looking forward to getting it… at some point!

I am surprised they did that windshield tint. That kind of full windshield tint is illegal in every state except HAwaii and 1 other state. It is definitely illegal in Michigan. If an accident occurs you will be toast as an attorney will go after your tint. That and I am surprised the vendor tinted it as they could have liability issues also.

(1) A person shall not operate a motor vehicle with any of the following:
(a) A sign, poster, nontransparent material, window application, reflective film, or nonreflective film upon or in the front windshield, the side windows immediately adjacent to the driver or front passenger, or the sidewings adjacent to and forward of the driver or front passenger, except that a tinted film may be used along the top edge of the windshield and the side windows or sidewings immediately adjacent to the driver or front passenger if the material does not extend more than 4 inches from the top of the windshield, or lower than the shade band, whichever is closer to the top of the windshield.

I use Can Coat Evo. Check out Pan the Organizer on YouTube for some great how to videos. Super easy but the prep is key. The hydrophobic properties are insane!! He has great videos on maintenance as well. I bought and use the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer as a drying agent and it protects/adds durability to the existing coating. The new Evo product is good for about a 12-18 months and again, it’s super easy. I had no problems using this and it was easier than I had anticipated. Enjoy!!

I absolutely love it. Me personally, I like it way better than the black roof. It matches the wheels very nice.
