How to stop my Badlands from "waking up" every time I open a door?

I just checked my BL. Opened the tailgate, everything came on but went back off after a few minutes, only leaving the interior overheads on. That may still be a problem for photography. Good luck!
I'll certainly have the interior lights switched to off where they don't come on when the doors open. I'll probably use some film to turn the gate lights into red lights for night work. I have until late August to figure it all out. I'm headed up to Hurricane Ridge for the dark week to hopefully get better Milky Way pictures.

I’m going to change the “rocks to Bronco” video into rotating clips from old John Wayne movies!
I’m going to change mine to Samuel L. Jackson shouting, “Key motherf—-er! DO YOU HAVE ONE!?!”

Interior lights are controlled by the overhead switch(es) above the driver.

I find the behavior super annoying because if your in and out of the vehicle a few times it means the headlight fan just keeps running, which is just draining the battery.

Not to cool for any kind of stealth camping. Plus there is some random (relay?) noise under the middle of the vehicle at weird times. At least old cars really went to sleep.

You can hear the lights when you're close but it wont keep you awake while camping, and they shut off after about 10 minutes of inactivity with the vehicle

Are the fans on the headlights really that loud? I've seen a number of posts about these fans. I've driven a few vehicles with LED lights, and rarely hear fans roaring in the background.
To quote myself....

Yes these headlight fans are very loud inside an enclosed garage when it's very quite. When the fans are on high it sounds like a dam buzzer going off. I caught my right headlight on high speed when it transitioned to normal speed in the middle of the clip. This was taken as soon as I closed the garage door after a short 5 min drive home after work.

hm....this is going to be a problem in a Drive In theater.....

those made a come back during last 2 years. I went to one and I wasn't sure my car keep the stereo going for 2 hours before it decides that I have forgot I left the key in the car but exited the vehicle.

luckily it didn't. but I'm not sure what would happen to the BS.

I find the entire orchestra from the punk Bronco an annoying, unnecessary affair, particularly when camping.

Also the headlights go back to auto (meaning on) after the vehicle has been turned off. This does not please the people with telescopes.

Or if it’s running and you’re in and out you get two full volume horn beeps with every door opened and closed. Dumbest thing ever

I only wish that all the things the baby "assumes" I want could be altered to my actual preferences.

"Features" are nice, choices are better.
