After looking at other threads on these struts can someone confirm that you no longer can let the hood drop to latch and that you must push it down?

I can confirm as far as the Sukemichi struts. Read my post here; includes video of opening and closing hood.

Correct: I just installed these on my '23 OBX. You have to push all the way down. When you release hood, once you start to open it, it will raise by itself.
