Hood Latch requires double pull

I noticed this before , but checking the Fluids on the BS the other day , there is or I don't see it ,a safety latch under the Engine hood , you have to pull the interior release a second time & it pops up further for you to open it. Just in case any have not opened the Hood yet . At least this is how my OB is .

That's how most Fords will be from now on. Just have to pull the interior latch twice, and the hood is free to open. No more fumbling around trying to find a latch under the hood.

BMW has used the double pull hood latch system for a good few years now. I agree, I open the hoods of 10 or more cars a day in my line of work and it's a PITA fishing around for the release under the hood
