Before I ordered my Bronco Sport, the VIN of any of my vehicles was just an indecipherable number-letter identifier. My VIN was sent to me on 2/17/22 when Ford Corporate notified me that my Badlands was scheduled for production. In the process of repetitively entering it into the tracker on this Forum, and on email messages from Ford, I have memorized my VIN. Has anyone else had the strange experience of memorizing a 17-digit VIN?

The tracker is kind of a drug like that.

Not strange, but pretty good for someone as old as I am. Can still type with most of my fingers too. Only thing, just after my BS/OB was delivered, my daughter-in-laws full size Bronco got scheduled so I had to learn her VIN. Now it's here, so I've forgotten mine & most of hers. Also deleted all build status trackers from my bookmarks.
Now if I could just forget how to type Realtruck.com and Autoanything, Etsy......

You were pretty hooked on that crack weren’t you?
Me no, I was completely calm and cool throughout. I was like it’ll get here when it gets here…I never made any impulsive petulant threads when I got frustrated, nope not me lol…and I definitely didn’t spend embarrassing amounts of time trying to figure out the window sticker or figure out rail tracking systems…

On the flip side I was disciplined about contacting the dealer so there’s that

I remember the VIN to the very first car I owned - a 1998 Ford Contour SVT. Back in the days when SVT would give you a certificate of authenticity, a car pamphlet, and a free course at, the now defunct, Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.
