Howdy all.

I have seen a lot of post about the HF cross bars fitting the BS. Does anyone have a picture of them installed? Also would you do it again?

I haul 2 bys and ladders that I would rather put on top instead of inside.
Thanks
Mike

Hello,

I didnt buy the set from HF i got a universal set from amazon for around 70 bucks, I then installed a roof rack on top of them ( Can get pictures tomorrow) my issues is that because they are universal they do not grip the stock bars as strong as i would like them to, i check mine every other day or so just to make sure that they aren't loose. Mine were only loose the day after the install and havent had any other issues. There worth checking out for a budget option.

Noticed your badge says Outer Banks, note that the Amazon description (I know not always accurate) says not for Badlands. There was a change for 2022 on the Outer Bank roof rails. My 22 OB has the same roof rails as a 22 Badlands.
I do not have Cross Bars so don’t know what (if any) the difference is.
Perhaps someone who knows will chime in and describe.

The Badlands crossbars have to be taller to let the moonroof lift and slide under them.

Thanks. I don’t have a moonroof. I really just need it to carry ladders now. I found a good deal on a used F150 to use for everything else.

Do these harbor freight cross bars have tslots for mounting accessories? I'm trying to figure out the simplest way I could mount my track boards to these. They take up too much space inside.

Edit: They do. I picked up a pair today and the rubber seal at the top slides out to expose a full length t-slot. I won't trust the t-slot with too much dynamic weight, but it will certainly suffice for my track boards and shovel.
