Got the first scratches on my Bronco already...

With all the snow we been having lately you gotta scrape the ice off the windows before driving. Well...am I the only one that accidentally scratch the fat plastic piano pillar on the rear side window thinking it was glass? It all was covered in snow/ice while I was scrapping and then I remember too late that their is piano plastic somewhere on here. I was so mad! Most likely I might see if I can replace it only if it don't cost too much.

Yes, I have a few scratches in mine, a deep one or two and I've never taken it off road. Probably car wash scratches.

Unfortunately, those piano black surfaces scratch pretty easy. Don’t beat yourself up too badly.

I've had good luck with this getting scratches out of motorcycle windscreens and helmet visors.

I scratched mine going hunting with oak brush. Looked bad. I used a polish rubbing compound with a foam applicator pad. Then used micro fiber cloth. Did two coats of this and it took the scratches out.

I'm going to wrap the plastic pillars on mine this spring. Within a month or two of getting my BS last year the pillars were all swirled up. Spent a Saturday polishing them, only for them to be covered in swirls again. I'm trying to decide if I want to polish them yet again and wrap them with clear PPF or just get some matte black PPF and slap it on.

I thought about that if I were to go the matte black route, it would probably be easiest just to cut out around the keypad and leave that area exposed.

There are snow brushes available that won’t scratch paint. I’ve had one for about ten years.
