Hopefully this will help somebody now or down the road.
Bronco Sport ( and maybe regular Bronco as well)with the GOAT mode switch in the console/next to the cup holders. This has to be one of the worst designs ever so congrats Ford on that stupidity.
The switch is right there and only has a trim piece on top around the turn knob. So it is not a sealed switch at all and again right next to the cup holders.
The wife spilled coffee on the console and the GOAT modes quit working surprise surprise right. I figured the switch was bad but it's a 2023 with like 10,000 miles so we made an appointment with Ford who is $150.00/hour for labor and 150.00 for the switch and could not get it in for 3-4 weeks.
So I got to stewing about it and started my research and found out by digging on this forum that others have had the same issue by spilling liquid of many different forms ( again it's next to the cup holders) on the console.
The switch fits seems 2021-2023 and maybe others. I found some on ebay for like 60.00 out of vehicles with 8-10 k miles and decided to check my local salvage yards that I deal with for work.
They all had some of the vehicles in stock but that switch was already sold out of every one of them and there was no scrap yard stock nationally for this switch. Hmmm have I mentioned it's next to the cup holders.
So I figured for the 66.00 it was worth a shot to save 300.00-400.00 at the dealer. The switch just snaps in and has one wire/clip that plugs in and it took me 2 minutes to remove/install
The first picture is of the complete new/used switch with top trim piece that hides the fact that its a non sealed switch, yes you guessed it next to the cup holders.
The next few are of the switch I took out taken apart. Then just some others of it working again.
So it's working again for less than 100.00 and did I mention its next to the cup holders lol.
