Head over to another dealer and show them the procedure for the 25S02A recall … might not work or you might get a new AGM Battery.
I believe he said that recall did not apply to his vehicle.

Yep and I’ve seen other owners claim (probably on Fb groups) their EFB (battery) was replaced when Recall 25S02 didn’t apply to their vehicle.

Ok. I guess I would say if your battery isn't giving you issues and you didn't receive a notice from Ford you should maybe wait until all those who are actually affected by the recall get taken care of. By all means, get the software updates--I believe those apply to everyone--which should improve battery management and make your OE battery last longer. But it seems to me the recall is meant for those whose batteries have a manufacturing defect that could lead to a total loss of power in traffic. Those folks should have priority I think. If you didn't get a notice from Ford then your battery should not have that potential defect.

Likely you are right and is an approach fair to owners with problematic batteries

That being said, I’ve long ago lost trust in an EFB (battery) for the Bronco Sport. Mine failed last summer and was replaced under warranty with the Motorcraft AGM - I did receive Recall 25S02 but was moot since i already received the AGM Battery.

My prior answer was what I’d do if I still had the EFB and the recall wasn’t applicable to my VIN ?
