Followup. Ended up being in NZ/OZ 16 weeks. Battery voltage with solar charger was 13.44vdc upon my return. Reconnected the negative battery cable. Performed the Battery sensor reset procedure. Started right up. Little bit of brake noise from the rusted rotors, which quickly wore off. Otherwise drove normally. Oddly enough, my radio presets were not lost. I did have to remove and reinstall my phone though.
Thanks for reporting your findings. This should help those who plan a long trip and want to know how to leave the BS in hibernation.

FWIW when i installed the JMS Pedal Max i disconnected the negative cable and didn't loose my radio presets or clock time either.

While I did not lose my radio presets, I did have my audio Fader/Balance setpoint reset to default. I only noticed that later when I was listening to the radio.
