I am thinking of finding and mounting a 1966 Wyoming license plate (has the bronco buster on it) to mount on the front of my BB. I live in a state that doesnt require a front plate. I am curious, will this be illegal, or are out of date license plates allowed on the front of a vehicle?

All your Wyoming plates have that on there. Is there any reason to use the old plate instead of a new plate? Maybe you can register it for the back plate, assuming the 17/Campbell prefix is still valid for your vehicle. Ask the DMV. But I'm really sure you can't just hang a different plate on the front with the valid plate on the rear.

People here in FL do it all the time but then again, we only have a rear license plate and you put whatever you want on the front.

in GA, only one plate, and mounted on the rear is what the cops look for so I would assume it would be the same as FL, in which you can mount whatever you want up front. I have seen an expired personalized plate on a car here before too
It is the same in GA and FL. I'm close to GA. There are 19 states that only have rear plates. Rugged 19 or something.

Done that without any problem as long as you have current tag on back. Cops in GA. have enough to do without stopping you for having out of date out of state tag on front.

That's good because Georgia only issues back plates. Like Florida, you can put any vanity plate on the front.

I was going to get a fun front plate for my 22 sport here in GA but according to the 22 order guide:

"FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET - 153 - Standard in states requiring two license plates and optional to all others. "

I didn't think to include it on my order as I still have one in a sealed bag from an older car. I assumed all new cars come with one. I guess they don't. If the mounting holes are already drilled it isn't a problem to add the bracket, but if they are not there is no way I am drilling into a 36k vehicle.
