Thanks for sharing. Will definitely get one.
My BB has suffered from Rick chips since.

I lost about 2 mpg between the deflector and my crossbars. I'm currently averaging 25 in Sport mode with a heavy foot.
You might consider removing the crossbars. I've read test reports that just the crossbars at highway speeds will cost about 10 to 11% in gas mileage.

Has anyone noticed that the same deflector for the F-150 is 1lmost $150 less on Amazon? Must be because they are so popular.

Things on the roof really do impact gas mileage. I put on a luggage carrier for my last trip, and it dropped my mileage at least 5 mpg. I'm going to try pulling my small trailer on my next trip.

I mean it's not glue, it's like 3M VHD tape (probably offbrand though). It'll come off with some work and then goo gone to get rid of the residue. Now what might be an issue with something like this is over time if paint starts to fade on your hood and you take it off there could be a distinct color difference, but that would take quite a long time.

I’m afraid as well, but I’m more afraid of dealing with rock chips and bugs.

A Bronco Sport with one fitted parked next to our Escape the other day. I thought it looked good. It looks like it’s meant to be!

Should I worry about salt or anything getting under it?

Thanks. Not currently available, in case anyone else was looking.
I'm pretty sure there is also one from Ford Accessories. I've got the stick-on one in my garage awaiting my BS, so it's not something I'm tracking. I have seen others with a glossy black one that floats above the hood surface here in the forum.

off subject but what's your opinion on the outer banks vs badlands?
I love love the 4 cylinder 2.0 turbo on the Badlands. Sport mode is just so much fun.
Haven’t taken the OuterBanks out 4 wheeling so can’t compare that.
