Good evening BS forum!

Just wanted everyones thoughts on Ford Ranger Lifts nudge bar w/ d-ring mounts…

I reached out to them and asked them again to clarify their “extra bracket bracing” they mention on their website for the product and here is what they said, “It’s basically a 1/2”x1/2” square tubing that would bolt to another factory hole. We used to offer this option but discontinued it as the different years changed with other options. Our current design does not require it because we updated our design with additional 3/16” triangle gussets and 1/8” angle material for extra strength.”
Thoughts on what this does for using the D-Ring mounts for recovery?

Personally, I don't think I would use the D-rings for recovery on anything not a Badlands. I think you were in on this discussion, but I'll post a link to it anyway: Bull bar/nudge bar/front sensor question | 2021+ Ford Bronco Sport Forum - Broncosportforum.com
Cheers!
Even with the badlands model this bar does not hook up to the frame mounting points that the OEM tow hooks do unless you modify the bar like someone did in that thread. That's why I'm trying to figure out how they are claiming that this thing can be used as a recovery point with the info they provided me.

They are a site sponsor, and have made a number of posts touting their products. I have asked this very question publicly here on the forum a number of times. To date, they have never answered--privately or publicly. Unless and until they are willing to share SPECIFIC details regarding how this product attaches to the vehicle unibody frame I will not consider purchasing one.

I’m in the same boat as you. It looks great and I really like the d-ring mounts but I just can’t imagine that this thing can be used for recovery as is.

Looks great. How/where do the D-Rings attach?
they hook under my frame front and rear I only use them when I am playing and attach the tow lanyards when I am there but I have never had that much mud or water to affect my play time I have all of Fort Hood now Fort Cavazos witch is the largest Military Post in the US so many Tank trails to play on.

Interesting. When you are able to I would like to see a picture of them if possible! Sounds like a good solution for us with no recovery hooks

Agreed. IMO, this bar is best for mounting lights, D-rings or no D-rings. Again, IMO, the D-rings are purely an aesthetic thing, not a recovery thing. Biggest concern I currently have is the fact that the front tag is blocked, especially when lights are mounted. Around here that’s known as ‘probable cause’.
