It offers coverage for things like damage to wheels and tires, minor windshield chips and cracks, or small dents in the bodywork that owners might incur while out on the trails. Has to be purchased while our Sports are still within their 3-year warranty period, but it's a good option that will encourage more folks to enjoy off-roading despite the risk. Not sure on pricing yet, but I'll consider it if it's worthwhile.

I saw this yesterday. It is definitely a cool idea. Will be interesting to see what the pricing/deductibles look like. Unfortunately I am out of warranty regardless.

I'm barely still writing coverage, but already have windshield and tire protection from the dealer. The dent coverage is only for dents up to 4 inches big that can't be fixed with paintless repair... That doesn't sound very useful for "offroading" damage.

I guarantee there are going to be a metric :curse:ton of denied claims for "abuse" reasons. It's a pay-to-pay world. Insurance is offered so insurance companies can make money, not to convenience the consumer.

Will the tire protection cover aftermarket tires? I can't remember what the original said.

Depending on the price, it might be good to cover accident's if you're going through sand and run into a rebar or pallet that's buried. Or if you hit a rock on a trail and dent a wheel.

I don't know about the windshield. It might be cheaper to pay someone to fix it than to pay them in case it gets dinged. It would be different if they covered windshield replacement.

Not only that, DENTCare is basically useless whether it's with or without the off-road option. It covers dents that can be fixed with PDR up to four inches... if they don't require any removal of panels/headliner to access the dent for repair. Which most of the vehicle (doors, hatch, quarter panels, roof) needs.

Been through this already with a couple dents on my hatch... DENTcare would not pay out.
