Fold Flat Rear Seats?

So this is an old post but an update for anyone interested. In my Badland with the towing package/full size spare tire combo the rear floor is higher but the seats still don’t fold flat.
The two different heights for the floor are for with and without the full size spare tire. I could not use the lower position unless I removed the spare tire.
Even with weight on them my seats would not fold flat, the headrest has no effect either way unless the front seat are too far back and the head rest hits them when folding down.
There is barely 5 feet to lie down/sleep, just about six diagonally but it would not be comfortable. However two or 3 inches of foam cushion in the trunk and a couple of inches additional inches over the entire backseats folded down and the trunk area would probably make something usable in a pinch. I think I would rather just sleep in the passenger seat Like a recliner.

So on my Outer Banks that just delivered, the seats dont even get close to flat when they fold down. Probably a good 20 degree angle from the rear floor. Is the flat folding only on badlands and first edition or am I missing something?

Check the pic they have posted and you will see the rear cargo spare cover is shaped different to accommodate a full size spare. That is making the seats appear to fold down more flat than what we see in OBX

Push the button on the head rest and fold it forward .

The head rests have no effect how flat the seats fold they only interferes with the front seats if too far back.
Removing the headrest completely makes no difference to the folding down of the rear seat. (they don’t fold fully flat on my 2022 Bafland with full-size spare/towing package that raises the floor of the rear cargo area).

I have a 21 first edition, they fold flat .

The button is gone on the ‘22. Must of had a chip buried in it to let you know if it’s up or down!

What , that saved a whole 10cents . 40 grand unreal and no rubber engine cover what is next , ENGINE OPTIONS (YES OR NO )

my seats are Close to flat but you could not slide a suitcase in easily from the back.

I thought first edition is the same as badlands .I will have to look at this again .

I have navy pier leather seats , I will take a look see , I do have the full spear tire .
