No. I did not see the touch icons on the back latch area nor did the locking mechanism react to my hand waving around the glass or door button areas.
With Intelligent Access you should able to walk up the the hatch and press the button to open it without using your key fob.

Wow, according to the order guide you attached, page 5 shows those rubber rear seat backs as standard equipment on the Big Bend. Noted also this guide was printed in Aug. 2021. Seems to me I should have gotten those with mine.
I think the fact that is shows as both standard and optional in the Order Guide is an obvious mistake and got missed during the editing process during the '22 update. Like your window sticker issue for the Fog Lamps.

Blueovalforums is showing a 12/16/21 version of the BS Order Guide but I am not registered on that forum so can't access it. It would be interesting to see how it differs.

Somewhere in the build chain, Ford failed to get those changes to the production line. That's why I hold Ford responsible for correcting customers purchased vehicles.

So, I just went and checked my Big Bend and the intelligent access is only on the driver and front passenger doors. I do not have the convenience package. If that helps.
I believe there is some confusion about the way intelligent access works. Either you have intelligent access or you don't--wording on various documents notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure there is only one version.

Read the section in the Owner's Manual about unlocking the doors (note this applies to all trim levels):

Unlocking the Doors (Two-Stage Unlock)

Press the button to unlock the driver door.

Press the button again within three seconds to unlock all doors. The direction indicators flash.

To change between driver door or all door unlock mode, with the ignition off, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for three seconds to change between driver door or all door unlock mode. The direction indicators flash twice to indicate a change to the unlocking mode. Driver door mode only unlocks the driver door when you press the unlock button once. All door mode unlocks all doors when you press the unlock button once. The unlocking mode applies to the remote control, keyless entry keypad and intelligent access.
If you have the unlocking system set to driver's door only mode the intelligent access system will unlock only the driver's door when you pull on the driver's door handle. In the all door mode all the doors unlock when you pull on the driver's door handle. What the manual doesn't mention, however, is the front passenger door. I've found that even if you have the unlock mode set to driver's door only all doors unlock if you pull on the PASSENGER door handle.

I suspect what is happening is that your unlock mode is set to driver's door only. When you pull on the driver's door handle that door unlocks, but not the rear passenger door. You then walk around to check the front passenger door, and since you have the fob with you that door unlocks when you pull the handle. Try locking all the doors, then pulling the front passenger door handle first. If I'm right then all doors will unlock. If that's the case then you just need to change the unlock mode to all doors using the procedure described above.

If I recall (from another thread which I can't find), switching unlock modes should also fix the problem with the rear hatch not recognizing an intelligent access fob as well.

Ok, with fob in pocket, I could control locking all 4 doors as well as unlocking them at the front passenger door. Curiously, it didn't appear to lock the rear hatch or glass.

SiriusXM was a must have for me as well as Nav. That's why I went with the Big Bend.

Did you take the fob out of your pocket when you checked to see if the rear hatch and glass were locked? If you still had the fob, the rear hatch and glass will open.

Liftgate and rear glass do not unlock via the release buttons back there - they pop open. They stay locked, just popped open.

Locking via the front side doors will also lock the liftgate/glass. You can confirm this by leaving the fob on the hood and walking around to the back - they won't release.

Not that time. I had fob in pocket, locked doors at the passenger door, then took fob out of pocket and put it in the house. Went out and all doors were locked as well as the rear door and window. I thought maybe the driver door controlled them all, but the passenger door does as well.

12/16/21 order guide shows that the rubberized seat backs are only standard on Outer Banks and Badlands - optional on Big Bend.

  • Changed
    • — Zipper Pockets – Front Driver/Passenger Seat Back are now
Included in the Convenience Package (96B) on Big Bend and
Standard on Outer Banks and above
    • — Second Row – Rubberized Seat Backs (66B) are Optional on Big
Bend and Standard on Outer Banks and above
    • — Steering Wheel – Leather Wrapped is now Standard on Badlands

Were you able to change the unlock mode? To change modes press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the fob until the turn signals flash. Then all doors should unlock when you pull the driver's door handle.

There is also a thread about the rear hatch not responding to the fob:

I'm starting to see where the changes to the models' standard equipment and the window sticker info intersected. Prior to that order guide being issued, 2021 Big Bends had numerous items listed as standard equipment that as late as the August 2021 order guide had listed certain items as moved to the convenience package and some not for 2022 models. My Big Bend was built 1/2022. So if Ford had been on their toes, would have had the window sticker reflecting those changes. Unfortunately, my window sticker showed a number of items listed as standard equipment. It was delivered, window sticker unchanged but the vehicle didn't have them.

You would think an international, multi-billion dollar company would have staff to catch stuff like that. I bet they blame Covid staffing issues.
