Hi everyone, I am selling my custom winter wheels (a wheel is a rim with TPMS/centering ring, and a tire), in excellent working condition with no curb rash nor dents. I am asking for $750 or Best Offer. I’m an absolute fanatic about my rims and tires. I always buy them assembled, mounted and balanced, from TireRack. When I get them I put them thru my oddly obsessive protocol, first waxing both the faces and bowls with Mothers Carnauba wax, and then permanently attaching the centering rings to the inside rim hub with Shoe Goo; plus putting a dab of Shoe Goo on each base side of each stick-on wheel weight on each rim so they don’t come loose and fly away. I mount my own wheels in Spring and Fall and put a new coat of lithium grease on each steel hub before installing any wheel. I also chose them carefully for low weight, each wheel is about 50 lb which is quite difficult to do if one wants a beefy 235-series AT/Snow tire with blocky siped treads like these. Many AT SUV tires are crazy heavy in contrast (as are many aftermarket rims).

I traded in my beloved 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands for a Ford Edge ST last October, and these FIVE nearly new Motegi Racing MR147 bronze 17x8 rims have 235/65R-17 Cooper Evolution AT3 4S XL tires with an average of 9/32’s tread remaining and no sidewall scuffs or cuts. The rims look new and have had zero pothole strikes. Note I have FIVE wheels for sale because whenever I buy a custom set of wheels, I anticipate that style being retired quickly and I value having a “real” matching spare for long-term ownership and use. These wheels have been in my dry basement since last October.

I’m selling these at a stupidly deep discount, need to make room in my basement and they must go. I can only sell to a buyer for cash only, in the SE metro Michigan area. I will bring them halfway to any buyer within 50-60 miles if wanted. I paid $330 per wheel so $1650 when new.

Update: New price is now $500 OBO. I plan to randomly keep dropping the price now until they sell. BTW- Bronco Sport wheels bolt right onto the Ford Maverick truck, just keep and use your 14mm Maverick lug nuts if doing so.

I really, really, really wanted these! However, I could not convince my wife of her need for them ( ours came with Pirelli’s). Secondly, last Wednesday when we got the 4” of snow, her BS was headed to the dealer for a possible new trannny at 24k miles.

At least my MINI is good in the snow.

@Rockboz

Your wife's 2024 looks to be a similar color to my 2021 Badlands (Rapid Red, IIRC). I think these will look good on it! They are in REALLY nice shape, with 4 that were slightly used but in great condition and a 5th wheel and tire being brand new - never touched pavement! My Badlands came with the factory Pirelli Scorpions. I'm at just over 24K miles and they are pretty close to the wear bars on the outside edges. I have an alignment scheduled for tomorrow, having just installed the HRG 1.5" lift, and plan to install these once that's complete. Kind of anxious to see how much better it is in the snow with these dedicated snow tires! Not that it was terrible before, but to actually have some tread AND then dedicated snow tires on it should make a huge difference. Based on my previous experience with dedicated winter tires, expectations are high. I don't think I'll be disappointed!

I really like the Bronco Sport, but I have to admit with all the RDU failures I'm seeing and now your wife's possibly needing a transmission at 24K, I'm getting nervous. I bought it used a few months ago as a fun vehicle that gets decent fuel economy and I hope I don't end up regretting it. Fingers crossed!

Good luck with the repair on your wife's. Keep us posted.
