First oil change at 1000 miles

Just did our first oil change on the 25 BSSQ. Had a good amount of shiny specks in it. Not particularly any more than the other new cars I’ve serviced but certainly glad to have replaced it with fresh oil.

That’s when I did mine, however, mine came out clean. And I plan to do 5,000 mile intervals from here on out.

There’s my second oil change done at 5,311 miles. I did this one at 4,031 miles on the change because I had a 1,200 mile trip I was going on.

Just saw a video that the first oil change should be at 500 miles. The highest amount of wear happens during the break in period.

I did a change at about 2K miles and went with a full synthetic Motorcraft dealer change.

Why get your oil tested and/or go by the OLM when you can determine the proper interval the objective, scientific way:
