Which years had the hood insulation and which didn't? I have a 2021 Big Bend with no insulation

too bad I cant double like your replyYour Sport is basically brand new, dont second guess whats going on with it.
Take it back to the dealer service department and tell them your concern and have them check it out, thats what the warranty is for.
Hopefully you have a good dealer, if not, don't be surprised if they tell you "the sound is normal" or "they all do that" which you know is not true, at least your concern will be on record in case the sound leads to a bigger problem.
I completely agree. I am at the same point and they also made the comment about some of my complaints being normal operations.I took it to the dealer I purchased it from and they said exactly what you said that this is normal. They said the sound is from the high pressure fuel pump. I told them that the sound like a sewing machine does not occur with my wife’s 2023. They then said for the 2024 Ford removed the hood insulation due to it being a fire hazard and it makes things sound louder and this is normal. When I got home I checked my wife’s 2023 and hers does not have the hood insulation and it does not make that sound. I feel very discouraged now and have lost confidence to the point I don’t know if I will purchase a Ford in the future.
Normal until it reaches operating temperatureI recently purchased a new 2024 Bronco Sport Outerbanks with less than 700 miles on it currently. I noticed engine tapping that gets louder on acceleration when the engine is cold (dashboard engine temp gauge shows zero to one notch). After about 15 minutes when the engine warms up (engine temp gauge shows 4 notches) the tapping subsides and the engine sounds more normal. I am aware there is a normal tapping sound on the ecoboost engines but this is louder and more apparent tapping on acceleration with a cold engine. My wife has the same outer banks model Bronco and her does not appear to tap like this when accelerating cold, just the standard ecoboost engine sound tapping (she has around 8000 miles on hers). What could be the cause? I hear the high pressure fuel pump can cause this, but would that happen only when cold and if so why? and my wife's 2023 doesn't seem to do that. Any idea what may be causing this tapping that sounds like a lifter or something, and why when its cold is it more apparent? and is this bad? Thanks for any help

Do you have the rubber weatherstripping at the edges underneath the hood too?
I had to add the blanket and weatherstripping, firewall insulation, catch can and hood struts,
and also for my entertainment managed to get an engine cover too.![]()
