All done. Took a little longer than 15 minutes as I got excited and dropped the threaded stud onto the engine. Took awhile to locate & fish that out.

I'm surprised this cover is relatively soft foam. I was expecting a thin plastic shell like on my '07 Escape. Anyway big improvement in appearance. Shame on Ford for deleting this.

Not what I was expecting either. Can’t figure out why they stopped offering it. Surely not a constraint. No chips in that! Molded rubber part.

Ford Ranger,
Could sombody post a picture of the engine cover and insulation? And possibly part numbers ? I want to order asap
As my $40k new 2022 badlands came with out either. There is an officially bulletin on it.
such bullshit , all this connectors are going to get road salt in and corrode sooner or later. Bad show Ford .
FYI you can see plain as day the 2-3 post with ball heads for the cover.
This thread has all the part numbers. The parts and quantities are correct. I ordered mine online from levittown ford and have it installed already.

Can you order hood insulation from Ford? Or is there something you recommend? Thanks
I have not a clue but I could swear I saw something about someone doing a full hood blanket in this forum. Get cozy with search and tell us what pops up…

Neither my old mustang or the Merc Mariner have an engine cover and havent had an issue with paint in the Texas summers...but I kinda like the idea of the hood insulation, I know it will be negligible but what does it weigh roughly, any idea?
The turbo and lower engine mass both mean more radiating heat than your Stang or your Merc I would think.
Not to mention the BS engine bay is very cramped anyways, but I dunno bout that.
Just ADHD (3 types)speculation .
Sorry it’s a God Given Gift, not a handicap,,,

I just took delivery of the vehicle and popped open the hood and NO plastic engine cover that sits on top. Is the car missing the cover, should I use my ford pass points to purchase it and is there a part # number? What have other forum members done?

The missing passenger insulator panel under the glove box that protects all the wiring and fuses worries me more.

I ordered a cover kit for the Maverick 2.0L, which is the same cover as the Bronco Sport Badlands. off of eBay. It came with the cover and 3 parts for install, all in OEM packages. It was $115 shipped and took just a couple of minutes to install.

Parts list:
W714647S450B, W520201S450B, K2GZ-6A949-A, AA5Z-6N958-A

According to this guy, the engine cover is there to protect pedestrians.

Ironically I just commented on one of his videos yesterday. I told him the dealmaker for me was all the Twinkie storage in the Bronco Sport.

Best reviewer on YouTube IMO.

I use my engine cover to sit oil jugs on when I change oil. Its very useful little table plus it looks really cool.
