I picked up a slightly used Bronco Sport Big Bend (2022 with only 5,500 miles). The driver's seat bottom cover has 2 burn holes - doesn't smell like cigarettes and looks super clean, like it is from a soldering iron. Anyway, I picked up a used seat bottom cover that will arrive in a couple of days. Does anyone know how to remove the driver's bottom seat cushion or if this is even necessary to replace the fabric? I'm just wondering if this is a DIY project or I should leave it to the pros.

The newer vehicles are easier to replace the cushions. I replaced the L/S seat bottom upholstery on my 05 F150 & I have done the front seats on my 69 Mustang; those were a bear to do. IIRC the seat upholstery on my F150 just clipped to the seat frame. Remove the seat & take a look at it, if you cannot figure it out just take the seat to a upholstery shop & have them swap it over.

OK, finally getting back to this project. Thank you for mentioning your F150. There are no videos on YouTube about replacing the seat fabric on a Bronco Sport but there are for F150s and I was able to find a video for an F150 that has an identical seat.

I helped a friend years ago do the front seats on his 65 Mustang and yes they were a bear to do.
