Because it costs money. Lets just keep it simple, and say it costs $1.00 to paint a pair. Multiply that by how many vehicles they sell a year, and that cost puts it into triple digit costs.

It adds up to a manufacturer.

I did the bottom of the muffler also, so I used a Hi-Temp flat black.
