New to this site and would appreciate someone's help. I have a 2021 Bronco Sport Outer Banks with 45,000 miles and the P3402 code just came up. this code is due to the cylinder 1 deactivation solenoid. the part number is H6BZ-6H082-A. The part is only $13.00. My problem is, I have searched the internet for hours and there are no schematic drawings or videos illustrating when this part is.
Does anyone know????

thank you!

The solenoid slips a follower off the camshaft. So it must be on the block behind the camshaft and #1 which would be the belt side.

I have been experiencing acceleration hesitation for a few months. This week, I got an CEL on the dash. The code that came up is P3402. The light has turned off, but the symptoms are still there.

Can you update us on the location you found the deactivation solenoid?

Did you replace the solenoid yourself?

Did the replacement solve the issues?

This is a very informative video. Fast forward to 3:30 he points to where that solenoid is located.
