Any good recommendations for cross bars for a 2024 Big Bend Bronco sport that won't break the bank? When buying cross bars do I need an exact fit? It looks like there are some adjustable ones out there that would fit. Not planning on using them a ton just every once in awhile. Also with The Bronco Sport windshields being somewhat brittle, (Mine cracked the first week I had it) I'm wondering what I can do to reduce the chances of rocks hitting my windshield. I've already got a deflector on my hood but now I'm getting advertisements for some kind of film they can put on the window to reduce cracks. Any ideas or suggestions?

Lots of members have had success with some crossbars from Amazon. If you are buying ones that connect directly to the rails then yes they need to be specific to your BS. Specifically look for ones that are 21-24 BB compatible. Amazon has low profile ones and also some that sit higher similar to the OEM style.

You could also check your local Facebook marketplace to see if anyone is selling some name brand (Thule/Yakima etc) sets of both feet and crossbars for cheap. You can almost always find what you are looking for on Facebook if you are patient and diligent about searching.

There are numerous threads and posts related to crossbars. If you want to see pics and what not take some time to search and read the threads/posts here. Lots of info to help with your decision.

Windshield is what it is. Not much you can do other than be observant of your driving habits and tailgating trucks.

Got a set of “universal” crossbars at Harbor Freight and installed on my BL. They’ve been on for @ 4 years and have been fine — cost me less than $100 and an hour or so of time.

Thanks for the reply Bill G. Any way that you could possibly post a picture of those cross bars on your Bronco? Thanks in advance

I spent $720.00 on my Bronco 2 month after I bought it brand new. A small rock evidently hit the driver's side edge of the windshield. It didn't crack until the next day when it got hot. I took it to Ford and they did the ball point pen test on it and said rock. I had to take it to a glass shop and they put a windshield in it. So far so good.
