That's an interesting bench/table option on the swingout spare tire. A completely different animal than the Cargo Management System for the interior space.

It’s got an integrated license plate bracket with light.
I’m not seeing where that would fit in the photo that was provided in this thread. I see it on the website, but the photo provided, there’s not a lot of room to the best of my visual abilities.

If you look at their gallery, it’s on the bottom of the hinged side.

right, I saw that. But now compare that to the photo he posted in this thread. There isn’t that space on either side of the tire, at least not that I can see. Perhaps just the angle the photo was taken. I think a straight on rear photo would be way more beneficial

I think he ordered a left hand opener and it's hidden by the tire. Just my guess, I really like it, but wow is it pricey.

@Tickover ’s is hinge left, so I think the angle of the photo just obscures the plate location.

Going back to the CMS tray after the swing-out love…
I do use mine often. I’ve a rollator on top of the tray most of the time. All the gear like chairs, blankets, bags, pump and other maintenance under it.
because of this regular need on top, I don’t get to have too much fun in other configurations but do use it as a pull-out table when tailgating. I like accessing it through the glass vs opening the door when rollator isn’t in there.

I wonder if there are 3rd party or even 3D printed solutions for heavier load and more useful (for those who don’t find the stock one useful)

Regarding swing-outs… I finally got a Yakima exo combo with storage box, tail lights and license plate mount off Craigslist. Retail post-tariffs almost double prices.

When it is folded up & not in use it fits right behind the rear seat. There are extensions built into the side panels that hold it up to the seat back. It only takes up about 4" of space. We got this as a dealer trade & the cargo management system was the only option that we didn't specify on it. I like how solid it is compared to the window shade cover in the Escapes. We got a BS in on trade that was missing the table & our used car manager had a cow when we told him what it costs. Needless to say someone bought it without it.
