Continuing from an earlier post.
In December, our BSBL had a powertrain failure, vehicle not in park, set parking brake before exiting, yellow wrench message. This happened over 2 days every time we slowed. After 4 days we arrived for our appointment.
Three weeks later the BS was returned. The dealer could find nothing wrong and deduced it was a weak battery. Replaced with a new AGM battery, no charge.
January 7, same warning lights directly after driving 2 solid hours.
January 14 back at the dealer, now states the control module may not be functioning properly, need to order part, perhaps 7 to 10 days before we get the BS back. At least this time they gave us a loaner when we dropped the BS off. A nice BSOBX w Sas, Eruption Green and 15 miles on the ODO.

When my Badlands was in to replace the 4WD module the loaner I had was a new Exploder. Actually it was pretty decent, the auto lift gate was nice and the extra room compared to the Sport was nice as well.

If your Fordpass is connected, message me the VIN and I'd be happy to take a peek and see if I see anything helpful.

Got your message, but responding here for the sake of the info being out there.

Code history is below. Warranty history shows a dealer replaced the battery on 12/31. Notice the battery voltage code that was there on 12/31 (and every day prior) went away once they replaced the battery. However, the "unable to engage into park" code (which was also being recorded prior to 12/31) is still there.

It apears that the technician assumed the bad battery was causing the issue. However, obviously, something else is still causing it. Unfortunately, the fault type being reported to the cloud is 00, so it is not providing any info as to what is causing it other than the issue is in the PCM itself and not the gear shift module or AWD module.

It sounds to me like they ordered a new PCM and they plan on replacing it. Seeing as the only code your truck has reported in the past two weeks is in the PCM, it's a safe assumption that module went bad and that is the part they are waiting for.
