So I will be adding on to this but I just wanted to say that I got my clipper 9000 ROK this weekend and I love it. So for the only issue has been with the rooftop tent which I am selling.

Basically everything is perfect. I really wanted the 12,000 ROK to have more room and be able to stand up in it but the weight was just even dry. It was within 50 lb of the tow limit and so just filling up with water would make it over the tow limit. But 9000 has been really nice and I think once I get the tent off it'll actually tow pretty well. Basically I was so worried about the tent coming off that at first I was driving up to 65 but after I found out the tent was coming off I had to drive home going about 50 and I just basically waited till about 1:00 in the morning so there wouldn't be a bunch of traffic and I had to keep stopping to check it and by the time I got to where I store the trailer it was very close to falling off.

I'm just going to put up some pictures for right now but I was actually able to sleep on it without even expanding the gaucho couch into the bed and just using the stock mattress was enough for me at least with a pillow and I really like the clipper because it's like 2 ft longer than the other ones and it has like a 2-ftx2-ft table at the end instead of the other ones like the jayco or forest river 12 srk that just have a tiny little counter at the end and then another little counter against the Wall parallel to it. Also on the other ones they have a little plug you push and it pops up. But on the clipper I have two 11, 10 volt outlets, two USB outlets, and one cigarette lighter outlet. And that doesn't include the two 110 outlets that the furnace and the AC plug into. But you can't really use those boondocking unless you have an inverter and either a big battery system or a generator. Or you can attach to shore power.

It's nice because it has a sink and the faucet you can like change the directions not even change. The directions like you can bend it different ways and it has a quick connect so you can attach a hose that it comes with and it has obviously a water pump but also a water heater and it has a graystone grill which is like a generic version of the Blackstone and it has a nice 3.3 cubic foot refrigerator that does have a small freezer section, although I haven't tried it and at least mine that I bought from general RV and draper Utah which I read so many horror stories online about buying a trailer but they were super easy at least up yo now I recommend Loyle for salesperson It was very cool and understanding since I was coming from out of town and helped me with figuring out everything through pictures and video and stuff beforehand and very up front and work with me on the price which I will talk about. But I do want to make sure that people know that I'm not saying they can do it again, it's just my experience as I understand it, this was of their 24 trailers so they said that the price might go up a little bit for 2025. And I know when I was looking at the 12000 ROK back in February they had the 9,000 listed for $12,999 and the 12,000 are okay. Was listed for $13,999 so prices can change.

So the listed price was $13,9999 I think the MSRP was like 20. I can't remember and at first they had a charge of $1,895 and $845 but I got those taken off and so the tax title and tag was about $2,300 so I put down $2,000 and I had to finance $14,390 and it did come with the optional rooftop tent. Which from what I see online they're about $1,700 before tax. Although I think clipper says they're like $2,000 and you also get the rails in the tracks which probably is what accounts for the other $300. Also, I was able to get an 8.74% financing with a credit Union which does have a local office in Phoenix where I live which was something that I wanted. So my payments came out to $180 a month if I remember right. Which I thought was a pretty good deal and now that my friend is buying the rooftop tent for $1,200 it's really only going to cost me about $15,200 for the trailer out the door.

I did not like the way it towed with the tent and the tent actually came loose and almost fell off. I was very lucky that a nice gentleman in Flagstaff mentioned that to me when I was at a light and I was able to put it back on but the bolts from the driver side front mount actually broke. I was able to secure it with some bolts that I had in my car, but it I do not think that a tent should come on there or at least that one with those mounts and mounted 6 in above the rooftop instead of sitting flat on the rooftop They were not secure enough and they were aluminum. You could actually see the rail that was attached to the top of the trailer to hold the tent on where you attach the crossbars. It was actually breaking and the little metal bits that slide in the track that you tighten down to hold it on. They'd actually start to shear through the rail. I'll put a picture of that.

But basically everything else was awesome so far. Although I did have to fiddle with the outside hatch key lock to get it working and the wheel that's slides on the manual Jack. I had a little trouble getting it on to line up the holes the first time

Here's a little video of a walk around I did while I was camping. Again. I'm terrible with cameras and I kept saying nine pin when it's really a seven-pin trailer harness and there's something else that I Said that was wrong and I can't remember what.

Oh I did some research I was looking at like the jayco 12srk and it does look like this. Clipper 9000 is actually a couple in higher inside when you look at the height of the roof compared to the door and the jayco versus this one and then like the jayco and the Forest River look like they have a nicer couch but in the jayco it's very spartan and The Forest River 12srk costs more by Jason amount although I was wanting to get the Jayco just cuz they have a much better reputation but so far this one's been good and it seems to have everything that I need and some other nice touches.

If anyone has the Coleman 1200 RK or the jayco 12 srk or the Forest River 12srk, I would love for y'all to measure your inside dimensions and then I'll post mine and we can see the differences.

So yesterday my friend met up with me where I store the trailer and he bought the rooftop tent for $1,200 so it worked out great for him cuz he got a rooftop tent that he wanted for cheap and I got to sell it because I didn't even want it in the first place and it basically made the trailer $1200 cheaper which is awesome.

I went up to Flagstaff last night and came back to Phoenix today and it does seem to drive better without the tent. I didn't see a difference in miles per gallon but I only have the troop home from salt lake City to compare right now, but it did seem easier to drive without the tent on there and with turning the air in the rear airbags about 10 psi higher to 85 psi and I also turned the dampers to a harder position It helped a lot.

Basically my dampers with the air suspension have 21 settings. I normally keep it right in the middle at 11 clicks. When I was towing the trailer back from salt lake City about halfway, I decided to go from 11 clicks to 15. Basically the higher is harder and lower or less clicks is softer. So, for this trip. I clicked it up to 16 and that really seemed to help with the rebound when the trailer would hit bumps. It wouldn't jerk the car through the trailer hitch as much and along with putting the few heavy items I have in the trailer right over the axle. Well actually it's over the axle but towards the front of the axle if that makes sense but It really drove so much better.

Everything seems to be working fine, knock on wood and so now that the tent's gone, I am a very happy camper, literally. When I was sleeping last night in Flagstaff it actually rained pretty heavy and I didn't notice any leaks in the trailer so that was super nice.

I took a short video driving up a very steep hill That's just south of camp Verde on the i-17 trying to show how it drove. Going up the hill but there was so much traffic. I didn't really get a chance to try and pass the semi so I might not even upload it but hasically I can go 65 very easily with the trailer. I barely have to press the gas pedal (which actually is really the air pedal if you think about it) unless I'm going uphill and I barely have to press the gas to keep it at 65 unless it's a very steep hill and on those ones I don't even try usually cuz everyone's going so much faster than I want to go. I'm fine, just going slow behind semis for a few minutes.

I basically just get in the right lane and stay behind the semis cuz it's just easier on the car as well as the trailer but it seems to be fine going 40 to 50 with barely pressing the gas. It'll go up any Hill but if I try to drive ovee 50 going up a very steep hill it'll do it pretty easily. But the coolant temperature will start going up after A couple minutes depending on how steep the hill is, how fast I'm trying to go and how much I'm trying to accelerate and I don't want it to overheat so I've stopped doing that and I've basically accepted that I'm going to piss people off and go slow and I don't really care anymore. It is a bit of a difference because I'm used to being one of the fastest drivers on the highway But basically now I just go 65 everywhere and then if there's a steep hill I usually just get behind the semis and it takes a little longer.

Other than that, everything seems to be good except that my dog does not want to sleep on the couch and seems to prefer sleeping on the hard floor, which sucks because that means that I can't pull the couch out into the full size bed cuz he doesn't want to sleep under it But as long as I'm by myself in there it doesn't really matter and it's big enough for me anyways.

Also in the long video I made I noted how the sink was working but when I put the hose on the end it wasn't. I'm a moron. When I was putting the hose on I forgot to turn the water knobs so it wasn't sending any water into the hose. But it is working and I've un-stupided myself.

So if anyone is wanting to get one of these little trailers I would really recommend this one because I like it because it's more than just a bed. You have some floor area so it's not just laying in it. You can actually sit in there with some people. Also this clipper 9000 as like an extra 18 inches and has that corner table there and it has the most options. Well they're not options. It comes with everything except for The rooftop tent and basically the only thing I want to add is an inverter. So I'll have to do a more long-term review later, but so far it's good and I like it and I would definitely recommend it.
