Put new meats on last year. This was the first time I was able to take this thing off-road. The Bronco did great. I honestly felt the only limitation was clearance. For those of you familiar with Cleghorn you'll notice the lack of pics of the Bronco on the obstacles beneath the power tower. If you look up Cleghorn you'll see other Bronco Sports on that obstacle, but with recent rain and subsequent washout it was undoable. We gave it a go, but spotters called us off. The Bronco did great in mud pits and hills and ruts. This trip definitely showed us the limitations of the Bronco Sport. There's definitely trails you can't take that the fully fitted out Jeeps with us did, but we did trails and obstacles that we thought we couldn't take without the encouragement of our Jeep cohorts that took us out.

And best of all. This suv is so easy to drive and the GOAT modes made this so easy that I didn't even touch the wheel that day. My 16 yo daughter drove all day. The pictures don't do justice with how steep and rutted some of these obstacle were and she made that car crawl up those obstacles.
Overall I love this little suv. It's a bit of a step down from the expedition 4wd, but an entirely different vehicle. I wish that with the upgrades Ford made with the 2025 they would have addressed the big issues this trip exposed; clearance and tire size. Otherwise a great trip and the Bronco showed that it's only l limited by its clearance and tire size limitations. Otherwise it's a beast and my daughter loved it off-road

LikeI said clearance, clearance, clearance. Good spotters will protect you, but sometimes these things will happen. c'mon Ford, just an inch or 2 more clearance and 265s without trimming. Pretty please?

Looks like fun a fun day. I haven't been there for years.

I can take my Badlands with lift and skid plates to places I wouldn't or couldn't take my F-250 Superduty. It is definitely the most capable off-road vehicle I've ever owned. I carry a Hi-lift jack with Lift-Mate, Army shovel, mattock, and axe in case I run into something it can't handle. So far, that hasn't happened except for one wash where the front hit before the tires. A few minutes work with the mattock fixed that problem.

Like you, I wish it had a bit more clearance.
