Catalytic Converter Theft

Saw this article today. Wow. I know this isn't a new issue, but it seems like these creeps are getting better organized. What, if anything, have any forum members done about this? It seems like a Bronco Sport would be a prime target because getting under one is a lot easier than most vehicles.

Same thing I do for every other property crime that seems to happen around here. Park in a locked garage. Not a creative answer, but if you have one, keeping it clear enough to park the car in is a good solution.

Wouldn’t the bash guard on the badlands make this a lot harder?

Unfortunately, Wouldn’t slow them down a bit.

It’s super quiet on my mountain.
My dog will hear everything and rip meat off the thief.
While she’s having a snack I’ll have plenty of time to get the barrel of my Mossberg 500 hot.
I know a few hog farmers that won’t ask any questions of someone dropping off free meat.

they say that is why they don't usually mess with the trucks, they have a grass/bash guard over the converter that hinders the speed of taking them. Here in PHX they just busted a fella that had 1200 in a storage container, I say castrate that bastard and make him an example.

You’d be surprised. Though it generally is very safe here with only property crime to worry about, there’s been quite the increase in violent crime apparently this year. Thankfully though the recent death of an innocent woman after a car chase & shooting worthy of a movie is still a shocking story here.
