CarPlay options

I am very curious about a couple of CarPlay options that are not available in my '25 Bronco Sport.

In my previous vehicle ('21 Ford Ranger), CarPlay/Siri had an option to "read" new text messages to/for me. I do not have that option/feature in my Bronco Sport. Also, the Ranger had an option to ZOOM the icons, which is also missing in my Bronco Sport.

I have attached screenshots of the CarPlay settings app... are y'all seeing the same options/limitations? Or are your settings options different?

The missing options are shown in these screenshots:

I'm running iOS 26.2 beta 1 and my Ford SYNC4 version is Software Version: 25017_PRODUCT, Revision: 1591

You need to go into your iPhone car play on your phone. It’s located in general.

Yeah, I know that there are settings in the phone as well as in the car. My point is that the options in CarPlay settings in the Bronco Sport are not there. These settings have nothing to do with the phone.

I am asking if anyone with a 2025 Bronco Sport has those options within the SYNC4/CarPlay settings IN THE CAR. Are you seeing different options from my screenshots.

Yes. I have widgets in CarPlay.

What I need to know is (on your post with the CarPlay settings screen shot) if you can go one more level down into both the DISPLAY menu and the ANNOUNCE MESSAGES menu.

Thanks. Those are the screenshots that I want to see ... to match it against mine ... you have an Outer Banks, mine is a Big Bend, so the question may be is it based on trim level or is there another issue that I need to investigate/resolve.

Yeah, it confirmed that something is wrong/missing on my end - I don't have the setting in CarPlay that others have, so I need to dig into why. Thanks.

I haven't gotten that deep into CarPlay so not able to help with settings. Could it be different versions of iPhone IOS. I am still running version the latest version of IOS 18 even though I know IOS 26 is available. Maybe different setting availability depends on IOS version.

That could be it! I’m running ISO 26!
