I just put Thule crossbars on my Bronco Sport. Can I still bring my Bronco thru a car wash?

The recommendation is to only use Touchless car washes and that will be fine with the roof rack

x1000. Ever since they went to the black plastic on the doors, anything other than a touchless wash, carries high risk of scratches.

I would agree with using the touchless. Even that warns items can be damaged. It is also harsher on certain surfaces due to the harsher cleaner used since there are no brushes.

I have a subscription to a local conventional drive-thru car wash. With my factory roof rack and cross bar have had no problem. The piano black trim is getting some really light scuffing, but I have come to terms with it. I think the other dings and scratches I have picked up look worse.

Just an FYI, I have the hood mat insert and A,B,C and D pillar graphics as well as the rear quarter window flag, all from Underground Graphics. So far, no issues with automatic (non brush) car washes

Touchless fine with my Yakima crossbars. Like others have said, manufacturers stipulate removing all but recommend touchless if you have to. I’ve the Fatcat on for skiing now and they’re fine as well.

related: since we’re on touchless carwashing, I finally found the culprit for my front fender trim pulling away from the body. The dryers at the end of the wash are blowing the one fender off the clips. I just have to pop it back onto the clips at the end of the wash. I’ve discovered it was ONLY after the wash and driving short distances (thankfully no highway). Make sure you have all your bips and bobs when leaving the car wash.
