So I ordered my BS back in November from a dealer around Seattle but we just moved last month to Alaska. The dealer said they can’t transfer orders so I’d either have to fly down and drive it back to AK or have it shipped up here.

The cheapest options I’ve seen for transport are about $2500. I think I’d rather pay that than make that trip again. Anyone have experience with any of these long distance shipping options?

I had a vehicle shipped from Indiana to Arizona 15 years ago, cost about $1200.00

Unless you want to pick it up and enjoy the dive back, I'd say that shipping cost is a decent deal.

You might want to take a look at using the Alaska Ferry system.

Yeah that’s what the $2500 quote was. I haven’t yet found a trucking transport co that doesn’t just send it on the barge. I’m guessing it would be more than $2500 though if they were driving

I shipped my Lightning from Wisconsin to LA a couple of years ago. Was 1500.00 then so yours sounds in the ballpark.

I planned on renting a car to go pick mine up 300 miles away. Come to find out none of the rental companies were doing one way rentals in my market because of low inventory. Ended up have to fly. That was a fiasco but worked out. Having it shipped will be easier but has its own issues. Do you have someone still in Seattle that can go and inspect it before it gets transported? The transporter damaged the Lightnings air dam. Transporter tried to say that’s the way it was when he picked it up. Wrong-a-roni, I had pictures to prove it as it was being loaded.

Ugh, that is frustrating. Yeah I think I have someone who can go inspect it. That is a big worry of mine, just not seeing it in person. And obv damage during transport. But if they can snap pics for me too it would put me more at ease for sure.

Whoa, just got over brain fade.

Look into TOTE, they used to ship unescorted vehicles from Seattle to Anchorage.
