Gotta say, putting the Raptor name on everything just devalues the name itself. As for the BS, our Badlands is a pretty sweet vehicle. I'm not a die hard off-roader, but the time we've spent off the well traveled, paved roads have been easily handled by our '21 Badlands.

So far, Ford has used the Raptor namesake on models that have done it justice, I hope it continues. I think a valuable lesson was learned when the Mustang II "Cobra" was released. :puke:

Yeah pretty much. But Ford saw dealers charging over sticker and ppl paying it so hey raise sticker price profits go to Ford instead of dealer. Genius.
They will price it at whatever people are willing to pay. That's as it should be; our economy works on a (mostly) free market. If you believe the price is too high for a given product don't buy it. If enough people agree the product won't sell and prices will come down, or manufacturers will simply stop making the product. That's why Ford stopped producing sedans; people were not willing to pay what Ford was asking for them, and subsidies from profits on pickup truck sales can only go so far.

Another example in a different industry: Crocs. Prices on these things have skyrocketed due to their popularity. My wife and I, however, have decided $50 is too much for a couple pieces of rubber.

I don't think Ford has any problem selling the Sports with the jacked up sticker prices. Ppl are paying it market conditions. And Ford has to pay ALL its suppliers more etc so not all of it is profits
