With so many choices out there, might as well have something that is more satisfying at meeting your needs than put up with something that doesn't.
Congrats and goog luck with the new ride.

Good luck with the Santa Fe! Let us know how it goes. I can definitely see the appeal. Up to the minute styling & technology at typically aggressive Hyundai pricing. I’m actually surprised i haven’t seen more on the roads yet.

Thanks very much! They are still dealing with supply chain issues they tell me. Dealers here are only getting about a dozen for the year. I kinda don't want to see one on every block but that's just me being selfish. ?

I saw a new Hundai Sante Fe on the interstate today. They certainly changed the design of the vehicle from a jellybean SUV into a pseudo-box SUV. Looks like the tend to box-style continues.

OP Check out the July/August Car and Driver Page 86 they did a test on the Model You're getting. They said We question Hyundai's decision to pair the turbo engine with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This gearbox gave us problems in our long-term Kia Sorento and it doesn't feel like the right fit here. While it shifts quickly, its laggy low-speed behavior is frustrating in parking lots and city driving.

Good luck with the Hyundai. I'm fighting myself not to buy a leftover Passport. I had that V6 a number of times before and I miss it.

Local Hyundai dealer currently has 14 of the 2024 Santa Fes on their lot. They are also marking them up over MSRP as well [which might explain why they have 14 sitting on the lot ?]

It's certainly a compelling new vehicle. My own personal past experience owning a Hyundai for 5 years makes me a little hesitant.

Wow that sucks, the Dealer near me is marking them down, like 2000 grand off Msrp.

Good luck @Dantanman and congrats on the new car.

We're getting to be in a similar boat. The conversations here lately have gone from her saying "I'm keeping this forever" to "how long are we holding onto this damned thing?"

We're getting gremlins throughout, Sync is buggy, won't upgrade properly off the thumb drive, the screen randomly goes dead, and the other day the reverse cam stayed on in drive for a full 20 minutes from my office to my house. Touch to open randomly stops working, the seat memory return doesn't always work... and the transmission is shifting rough at under 18K miles and just over a year of ownership.

Problem is neither of us can decide on what to trade it on. Love the looks, it meets our needs perfectly but not impressed by Ford build quality in the least. Second choice last year was an Outback. Might have made the wrong decision.

My wife's 2021 BS BL has the same problem the radio comes on nearly every time you start is and intermittently the screen stays blank when started. She had problems with her 2018 Edge we bought brand new that's why we traded for the BS BL. Well she finally got tired of it so I told her it was ok to look at none Fords. We traded the BS BL on a new Honda Passport Trailsport and she loves it. We didn't leave Ford, Ford left us because of their inability or their decision not to fix the problems with the infortainment systems in their cars.

I did read it. So far so good but early times. Wife absolutely loves it. She'll be driving it 80% of the time. I have my Mercedes convertible for my daily driver. If the Santa Fe blows up I'll dump it real quick. It's my first one and I won't tolerate a premature major power train failure.

Sorry to hear about your Transmission problems on your new Santa Fe at only 5 weeks old.And 2+ Months for a new one sounds like a lot of problems with them.
