Brakes squeaking in reverse

I got so tired of it I went and paid out of pocket. The dealer said it was out of there hands but was made aware from the corporation that this is a issue

In my experience my Garaged 21 FE it’s surface rust on the rear brake discs. Once rubbed off it goes away. If it sits a few days it may happen again etc etc.

Are your rear brakes squeaking or moaning?

The moaning sound is a known issue when backing up. If they are squeaking, you may have other issues.

First we heard of squeaking .. why do you think a recall is warranted?

Are you sure the rear brakes are not making a moaning sound? Like a whale sound.

A squeak sound is entirely different.

According to the NHTSA:

A recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle, equipment, car seat, or tire creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards. Most decisions to conduct a recall and remedy a safety defect are made voluntarily by manufacturers prior to any involvement by NHTSA.

This is a customer satisfaction issue, not a safety issue. There will be no recall.

My 22 BS Badlands was still under warranty when I took it in for inspection and oil change. The service advisor asked me did I want the SB about rear brakes moaning addressed. He said it was still under warranty and would be covered. Problem was addressed with no issue or cost to be me. Masano Ford, Shillington, Pa.
