Has anyone covered, wrapped or painted their brake calipers? I’m more interested in protection and safety than I am appearance. There are lots of options and opinions on-line, but I’d be interested in your opinions and input.

I have heard that the covers retain heat ( not really an issue for a BS). I think they look cheesy. I used GP2 caliper paint. Lasts about 5 years and then gets a re-coat. This picture is at 12 years and 123k. Time for a new coat

That’s great. I didn’t even know about that. I was just on their website, and they can even color match the paint to your car color. Did you install it yourself, or did you go somewhere to have it done? And if so, what kind of shop does that sort of thing?

Back in the day I used to paint my calipers. Nowadays nope, just not that important.
I've seen some tire shops will do it for customers, I haven't asked what they charged, just a tech with a spay can and some masking while the wheel is off.

I did it myself, I built a lot of models growing up and am pretty handy with the brushes. I tried to edit my post, it is G2 not GP2. It was easy , the re-coat was more of a pain, did that during COVID, did one side of the car, waited 24 hours than did the other.

Good job. I watched some of the videos in the G2 site - I could never do it myself. But I might look for some shops that do. Thanks for giving me that advice.

Totally unnecessary, they are for the ricer cars.
